We hate to report that the former South African president is suffering as his health has declined to critical condition.
He's been in a hospital in Pretoria since June 8th where his health has apparently worsened in the last 24 hours.
Current President Jacob Zuma released a statement about the state of Nelson's health:
"The doctors are doing everything possible to get his condition to improve and are ensuring that Madiba is well-looked after and is comfortable. He is in good hands."He was previously hospitalized for a lung infection, something he has suffered over the years. At that time, he was in serious but stable condition.
He started developing lung infections due to his time as a political prisoner on Robben Island.
