Jonathan Promises Better Education for Youths

President Goodluck Jonathan has promised to provide youths’ with a qualitative education to properly develop there entrepreneurial skills to make them attractive to employers of labour.
Mr President  made this known at the opening of the 5th forum of laureates of the Nigerian National Order of Merit (NNOM) held in Abuja.
Science and Technology Minister Professor Ita Okon Bassy who represented the President, said “Cognizant of the vital role education plays in national development, government is determined to provide the Nigeria people, particularly the youth, with qualitative and functional education that will not only make them darling of employers of Labour, but also entrepreneurs in both our public and private sectors of the economy.”

Imo State Governor To Build First Free University In Nigeria


The Rochas foundation has decided to build the first free University in Nigeria which will help the educational development for the less-privileged.
The Foundation currently owns and runs five secondary schools around the country offering free education to indigent students. The schools are located in Ogboko (in Imo State); Owerri, Kano, Ibadan, and Jos.
The Principal of the Rochas Foundation College in Jos, Mr Ugbobor Daniel, spoke of the ongoing preparation to establish the free university while receiving a bus donated to the Jos College yesterday.
Daniel said the university is to be sited in Ogboko, the birthplace of founder of the Rochas Foundation Inc., Chief Rochas Okorocha.

The Rochas foundation has decided to build the first free University in Nigeria which will help the educational development for the less-privileged.
