The
interim national chairman of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC),
Chief Bisi Akande said running a two party system will deepen the
Nigeria’s democracy.The elder statesman said while addressing a news conference in Abuja, after the newly registered mega party chieftains converged at the party’s secretariat for its inaugural meeting.
Chief Akande reaffirmed the ideological position of the party saying the party exists for the sake of the people, while explaining the role of the party.
He also announced the establishment of a committee to mobilize Nigerians to embrace the new party ahead of its national convention.
